2015 HKPGA Order Of Merit - 1st Leg (Open Division & Ladies Division)

Open Division Winner - Stewart James |
The First Leg of the Open Division and the Ladies Division of the HKPGA 2015 season was held on 30 and 31 of March 2015 at the North Course of The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course. A total of 53 players including a few from the Senior Division of HKPGA and elite of HKGA joined the Open Division competition while the Ladies Division had 9 competitors.
Players performed well in the first game with good weather conditions. Stewart James, the first runner-up of 2014 order of merit and Chau Pui performed outstandingly with 71 for the first round. Tang Shing Chi finished at second place with 72. The winner of 2014 order of merit Tang Tsz Hang, Boult Dominique and amateur player Lam Isaac all tied at the third place with 73. For the Ladies Division, Wong Lai finished the first round strongly with 75, the winner of 2014 order of merit Ho Mei Dik finished at the second place with 78.
The day 2 tournament was delayed due to heavy fog. Fortunately, the contest could start at 11a.m. after the fog dispersed and with the help of KSC. Although the weather was still unstable during the contest, but Stewart James has not been affected by that and won the champion with score of (71, 68), total 139 strokes due to the stable performance. Chau Pui just lost by 2 strokes (71, 70) at 141. Boult Dominique finished at third place with (73, 75)148. For the Ladies Division, Wong Lai continued her very fine performance and won the 1st Leg with (75, 74) 149, Vicki Ho and Melody Chan finished at second place and third place with (78, 81) 159 and (82, 81) 163 respectively.
