HKPGA Order of Merit 2012 – Seniors Division Leg 5 - Press Release

Order of Merit (Senior Div.) – 5th Leg and Order of Merit (Ladies Div.) – 3rd Leg were successfully held in Discovery Bay Golf Club on 13th and 14th August 2012. There were all together 32 players participated. On day one, the weather was almost perfect at the beginning but not for long there were some showers from time to time, hence the competition had been stopped for a while. In the middle part of the competition, there was strong cloudburst as the saying goes “it is the unforeseen that always happen”. The golf course condition was flooding by the heavy rain. Players could only finish nine holes of the competition, some players were even unable to complete nine holes and had to extend to play in the second day.

The second day was clear up in the sky, although there still had some water stains on the course. Some players completed the unfinished holes and gave back the score card before they started the second day competition. The time was a little bit rush but all the players could finish the competition finally. In a nutshell, Tang Man Kee won the competition scoring 106; Jason Kwok was the first runners-up scoring 116 and Michael Kan was the second runners-up scoring 117. In the Ladies Division, Jannet Sheng won the competition scoring 116; Vicki Ho was the first runners-up scoring 122 and Pony Leung was the second runners-up scoring 123.
